Due to the shortage of priests in the Redemptorist Order, the care of Holy Trinity Church and its missions was returned to the Diocese of Charleston in 1996. St. Theresa's Church has once again welcomed a diocesan pastor after 66 years, the Reverend Father Michael J. Polewczak.
